Things are NOT always how they appear to be !

Ten or twelve years ago, back in the crash , things were not going so well with me as like a lot of people back then, we got hit very hard financially , and it was taking it's toll on me. My coach at the time , Ron Patulski , said " You know Donno , ( his nickname for me ) ,things can change in the blink of an eye ! "

Up until then, I had always thought of that saying from a negative outlook...things can go from good to bad very quickly....leads can be lost in a game with one swing of a bat or a fumbled ball for instance and other examples. I knew I should be grateful for what I had because something dear to me could be snatched away in an instant. I've always tried to be positive and look for the good but sometimes, that was tough to do.

But when Ron said that , he taught me that as dark as things were right then , that in the blink of an eye, it is very possible that things can turn on a dime from bad to better to good with one phone call, one conversation or one positive action. You CAN turn it all around quickly. And since that day , I've looked at the " blink of an eye" statement from a different perspective. It can change in an instant... either way !

Things are not always how they appear to be !

If things are good, be grateful and kind and appreciative of your good fortune. Don't get too over confident or cocky. Be humble. Do what you can to stay in that positive momentum.

If things are rough, realize that this too shall pass. If you're in a hole, stop digging ! Be grateful for what you've learned, get around some better people and work on yourself to change your mindset immediately. Things will change faster the more you go to work on you !..( Jim Rohn )
