Tuesday's BOLD LAW.... " Spontaneity is a conditioned reflex "
Spontaneity is a conditioned reflex...good or bad.
We all have some spontaneity in our lives. We have habits. Hopefully, more good ones than bad ones. Even when we react poorly in an encounter, it's probably a habit that we have picked up over the years. That's how we trained ourselves to react when we are placed in a stressful situation. And it may not always be a reaction that we are proud of ?
The good news is , is that we can train ourselves to replace that reaction with a better one. Sure, it takes work. Just like the attorney who has practiced his courtroom presentation to improve results for their client , we can cover up a bad habit eventually by changing our behavior today.
Just like an athlete who is willing to change his stroke. He or she knows that in the learning process to make a change in their game , they may lose to opponents that they never lost to before. And, once that better change is firmly implanted in their game and replaces the old habit, that new change will allow them to compete at a higher level.
It's all habits. It's all work. It's consistent learning over a long period of time. It eventually becomes spontaneous. It becomes a conditioned reflex. And it makes us better. It's worth it. What do you wish to improve today ? Start the new habit now.
Spontaneity is a conditioned reflex !
