Tuesday's BOLD LAW is " You teach people how to treat you "......Are you giving to others first ?

We do get from others after we give them something first.

" Givers Gain ", as we say at BNI ( Business Network international ). Giving is typically not instantaneous but , giving first almost always pays you back down the road. And , whether you get something in return or not is not the point of giving. We give to others because it makes us feel good and it's the right thing to do. The old adage is true of " People don't care how much you know until they know how much you care."

What does this have to with teaching others how to treat you ? Plenty !

You want to be respected ? Respect others first.

You want to be trusted with confidentiality in conversations ? Don't gossip !

You want more friends ? Be one first to someone else.

You want to be inspired and motivated ? Be inspirational and motivational to others first.

Pick up the phone. Have that conversation you know you need to have. Be first. You get it ! It's the " Golden Rule " of treating others as to how you wish to be treated. Set the tone.

Yes, to the world you are only just one person ( how can just one person make that much of a difference ? ).......To that one person though, you may BE the world and your giving may make ALL the difference to that one person !
