Thursday's BOLD LAW
Stay in control of your emotions.

Yesterday, we talked about the "highs" of emotions and how to monitor your excitement levels so that energy could be managed throughout the day.

Today, just the opposite. We all have times where the "lows" smack us unexpectedly in the face. Yup, it hurts to get smacked in your kisser! How do you handle it? Do you curl up in a ball and retreat from the world for a week? Do you attempt to drag others down believing in the theory that misery loves company? Do you sit on the couch and enjoy comfort food while binge-watching a Netflix show for hours?

People do all these things. They can take you out of the game for days and weeks on end and then you spend a few more weeks trying to restart the engines and build momentum. Going into a low-energy mood just means you're going to have to expend more energy to crank it back up.

Hey, it happens to us all. I find it best to acknowledge the bad news, have a "Pity Party" for a few hours and then figure out and take action to solve it. Sometimes, yes, that's hard to do. Maybe it takes a day...just don't let the emotions slow you down for a week or more. Get back on the horse. Taking action will push you forward to the good stuff! And, when you can control your emotions to the point where your "Pity Party" is only limited to 5 minutes, you will come back with amazing clarity for a solution.

Keep all emotions within the lines and you will find that serves you, your loved ones, and your clients better! Have a great Thursday!
