He says that actions become automatic and repetition is a form of change.
I say....What are you repeating to yourself 24/7 ? What is automatic that should maybe not be ? The monkey in your brain does not serve you at all...especially as he repeats negative crap all day long to you.
Behavioral economist Daniel Goldstein..." It's an unequal battle between the present self and the future self. Let's face it, the present self is present. It's in control. It's in the power right now,. It has these strong, heroic arms that can lift doughnuts into your mouth. And the future self is not even around. It's off in the future. It's weak. It does not even have a lawyer present. There's nobody to stick up for the future self. And so the present self can trounce all over it's dreams."
Take control of your future self by commanding the present self to do more for you...beat up the negative monkey mind until he is so weak that he gives up his job...you take command of you now !
