This week's BOLD LAW "If it's not in your schedule, it does not exist" or poof! the day is gone before you know it!

If it's not in my (or your) schedule, it does not exist.

If you are anything like me, I have things I know I need to do every day and things I should do every day, and a hundred other things that I'd like to do. We are never going to get it all done. The "in" box is always filling up...what to do ?

You must separate the stuff that's really important and must be done in a working day from the stuff that could be done later from the stuff that really is not that important . Some of them may even go away on their own . Or, learn to delegate those out to someone ese. The "A" list must be assigned a time in your day. It must be blocked off....or, it does not get done.

We assign a time for an appointment right? In our business you would never just blow off an appointment, right? But how many times do we find an excuse to do something that really is not as important to do as lead generation is to do ? Ever blown that off? Ever fill that time with a task that could wait? Not right, but we all are guilty.

Put the "A" priorities in your schedule. Acquire the discipline to accomplish those first. Then the "B" activities can be done afterwards. Write those into your schedule too. The "C" activities can wait, be delegated , done later or not at all.

"A" priorities bring you 80% of your income

"B" priorities bring you the remaining 20 % of your income

"C" tasks bring you no income (otherwise they'd be A's or B's)

Which ones do you wish to spend 80% of your working day on ? Get them out of your head and into your WRITTEN schedule and then go DO them first today!
