This week's BOLD LAW.... " Do not compare your insides to someone else's outsides ! "

If you do this , you are going to lose every time ! It's a no win situation because there is always someone out there who is richer, bigger, stronger, faster ,younger, has a bigger home, drives a better car, is better looking than you , does more in business and on and on and on...you can always find someone who you think you don't stack up well against ! This is a dangerous position to put oneself in ! And, at times, we all do it ! Just don't give it much energy or time...move on to better thoughts.

You know you. You know your insides better than anyone. How can you possibly compare what you know 100 % against someone's exterior appearance ? You don't know what's going on inside them ! When you find yourself doing this , stop it immediately ! They may be having all kinds of turmoil inside themselves but they cover it up ! Maybe their home life is a wreck, maybe that expensive car has a big lease payment and they are behind on it and maybe that beautiful home they reside in is a rental and they are broke ! And you want to compare yourself to that ? Don't do it ! Don't be judgmental towards them and don't put yourself down...especially when you don't know their insides !

 A great coach of mine ( and some of you too ), Tim Wood ,once heard me comparing myself to some very successful agents who were up on a panel on stage at some event years ago and, I will never forget this....with intense passion and fire in his eyes , he poked me in the chest a few times and said " Remember YOUR definition of success for you and you only !...Not his ! Not hers ! and certainly not THEIR definition for YOU ! Remember YOURS ! "...and then as Tim would do, he turned and walked away , leaving me to ponder his wise words...that was his way of stating this BOLD LAW...and for those of you who were fortunate enough to be coached by Tim , I know you can picture that in your eyes...because he certainly probably had a similar conversation with you about something.

Don't compare your insides to someone else's outsides...just compare you to you ...more on that tomorrow !
