New BOLD LAW for this week..."It's not about selling more real estate, it's about following a schedule"...Do you have one?
To all my real estate colleagues and friends, or any salesperson who reads this...In fact, to anyone who wants "more'' of anything....it does come down to how well you follow your schedule.
That schedule should be planned out in advance...( do you have one for today? )...At the very least, you should plan that schedule out the night before. Success at anything does require advanced planning and perspiration.
Yes, failing to plan out a schedule means you are planning to fail. "Winging it " or "winging" anything is not a recipe for success. You are letting the wind blow your rudderless sailboat anywhere...you have no control where you'll wind up.
Compare that to a wise and seasoned sailor. Even in a storm and high winds, they get to their destination because they had a plan...they had a compass, a goal, and the skills (determination) to follow a pre-determined course (a schedule).
Do we always get to where we want to go on time? No, there are always interruptions in all of our days regardless of profession. The most successful people don't let small interruptions take them off task and after a major interruption, they get back to their task a whole lot quicker than unsuccessful people. I'm sure you know people on both sides of that statement.
