Happy Groundhog Day! Wednesday's BOLD LAW "Don't listen to your monkey mind!"
Did you have at least one negative thought yesterday? We all did. Did you "catch it" & take control of your next thought? As you do that, you take back control of your ship. You, as the Captain, shoved the "Monkey Mind" out of the boat just for a moment. Good for you!
Then, he jumps right back on because he is persistent. He keeps coming back to all of us. Keep replacing negative thoughts with better thoughts and you are placing yourself in a better position to win this ongoing battle. Be cognizant of what you say to yourself all the time. Are you lifting yourself up? or beating yourself down?
Words do hurt. They hurt your self esteem and confidence. They can stall your forward progress and keep you down. The "Monkey Mind" is only too glad to push you further down a hole. If we don't take control, then we can hurt others. It's a slippery slope downward when we allow the "Monkey Mind" to have power over us.
If you are in a hole, stop digging! Positive self talk and positive affirmations followed by some action help you begin the climb out. Build your muscles of positive mindset and the monkey gradually gets weaker and weaker as you don't give him any power.
Monkeys can be cute. You want to see them? Go to the zoo but not in my house, or yours!
