Coach John Wooden's thoughts on Tuesday's BOLD LAW... " People will grow into the conversations you create around them "

Legendary UCLA basketball Coach John Wooden said, " You don't develop players by constantly tearing them down. You create a winning team by building them up !

Players grow into becoming the players that their coaches see in them . The same is true of all people.

If someone was constantly criticized by their parents, coaches , bosses, or spouse, they are going to be held back by all that negative influence. How could they not be affected by that ?

It can be overcome by someone who is determined to rise above all the negativity. It's not impossible. It may be tough but, there are all kinds of stories where someone rose above a very bad beginning and became very successful. Most though , I think, would be negatively affected and would not know how to , or have the desire to change their circumstances.

On the other hand , when someone is being taught with love, lifted up in conversation , and cheered on and supported with kind understanding , might that person see themselves and the world differently ?

We all have a choice as to how we treat everyone and ourselves today. Let's make the right choices today, no matter the circumstances.

People will grow into the conversations you create around them. It's up to all of us to help others grow in the right direction.
