I don't know about you but, I don't want any participation trophies in my career or in life. I am perfectly okay to either win or lose because I took the DO attitude rather than the safe , politically correct " well , I'll try " attitude that leads to mediocrity at best.

As Tim Wood, one of my mentors taught me, " In losing, AND YOU WILL (!), don't lose the lesson....because you already paid for it in advance ". It's perfectly okay to lose . That means you played full out and someone beat you. As we learn the lessons in losing, does that not make us better ? And doesn't that mean that in the long run we win ?

We don't win by trying. We win by doing regardless of the end result. I don't want my airline pilot to " try " to fly through the storm and land the plane safely . I just want him to DO it !

Take a chance today. DO something, don't just try it. There is no commitment in trying. There is conviction in DO-ing..

Remember, the chicken is participating ( trying) at breakfast...the pig is committed ( he DID breakfast ! )

There is no try....there is only do...so says the Yoda of real estate !
