Be VERY afraid of this one !!!! BOLD LAW for this week is... " Don't mistake movement for achievement "
It's very easy to fall into this trap in real estate because there are so many little details that do need to get done in the course of a sale. From listing homes to showing homes, marketing and advertising and promotion and client service care and sales meetings and on and on and on...oh yeah....there's that little thing called lead generation or prospecting and filling your pipe line too.
The problem is that most sales people take of all those things mentioned in the first two lines and think that they will get around to lead generation later and , it never happens ! That's a false belief that they create every day . Its called creative avoidance. It's easier to do and sometimes more fun to get caught up in all that versus putting your head down and do the one thing you don't want to do first , yet that's where you achieve and make more sales and more income !
They run out of time in the day fulfilling a " to - do " list and never get around to the " must - do " list. They get caught up in the " busy-ness " of real estate ( movement ) versus doing the one thing ( achievement ) that would propel their business and their lives forward !
Do the big rock first ! The small rocks can wait or be delegated to someone else or be done in the off hours, not done in prime time ! The big rock of lead generation/prospecting is WAY more important. Get it done first ! Get out of the movement mentality and into the Achievement business....achievement , not movement !
You are in the real estate SALES business...go SELL something today !
Do NOT mistake movement for achievement !
