As Yoda said so correctly in " Star Wars "...BOLD LAW for the week..." There is no try !"
Yes , old and wise Yoda was right...and his famous line ended with " There is only do ! "
There is no try. You either do it or you don't ! People who say they'll try to do something or " I'll try to get back to you " or " I'll try to help you " ARE NOT as committed as those who say , " I'll call you back on Wednesday with an answer " or , " Let me help you now ".
Do you really want a doctor to " try '' while he is operating on you in your surgery or a pilot to " try " and land the plane ? Do you really think our clients want us to say " Well, I'll try to help you buy a home " I think NOT ! There is ZERO commitment in the word " try ! Think about that the next time you say " I'll try ! " How committed are you to that ?...versus saying , " Yes, I'll help you ! We are GOING to get this done ! "
It's very common to use the word " try ". We all say it and it's been in our vocabulary for a long time. I urge you now to be aware of it when you say it . Catch yourself , correct your phraseology, and decide right then , you are either committed to do something or you aren't ! And when someone says it to you , be aware that they may not have that strong a commitment to you.
There is no try ..there is only do.....go do something today !
